What we did last half term
The first half of the Spring term has been very busy; we enjoyed a fabulous day at the Prince of Wales theatre and our show was a great success. Our topic has been “Victorians” and we held a “Victorian Day” in Red phase. Red 2 organised a Victorian Afternoon Tea for all four classes, the children made sandwiches and butterfly cakes. We poured tea (blackcurrant Squash!) from a big teapot and drank from cups and saucers. The school held a week of “dog activities” and we had a sponsored walk with Eric around the trim trail, the children were excited to welcome their parents to join us and we raised some money for “Dogs Helping Kids”.
Red 2 class have enjoyed walking to swimming this half term and they are all making good progress in the pool, we are very proud of them all.
What we are doing this half term / Reminders
Our topic for this half term is “Dinosaurs” so we will be doing lots of dinosaur and fossil themed activities.
We have a trip booked to the Birmingham Society of Model Engineers on Tuesday 6th March, and we will be doing some road safety walks and are hoping to visit Cannock Chase.
