Class overview

Welcome to Discoverer 2. We are an upper Key stage 2 class. Our class teacher is Vicki. Our teaching assistant is kay. Jess and Aprille are our ISAs.

Discoverer 2 Staff

Autumn 2:

Discoverer 2 have had a busy term, we have been learning about Earth and Space in Science. We got into our classroom rocket where we sored to outer space and explored all the planets in our solar system. We learnt lots of cool new facts and created our own mini planet art work.

This half term in topic we have explored the Ancient Greece timeline. We had lots of fun creating mythical creatures based on the myths we have heard. We also created a Medusa Mask – This was so much fun!

In maths we have been learning o find missing numbers in addition and subtraction column method and we have been learning how to measure in millimetres, centimetres and metres.

During English we have been identifying features of information texts. We have used information text to help us answer questions. We have then used our knowledge on information text to help us independently write our own information text based on our pet aliens.

The build up to Christmas has been extremely busy for Discoverers, making cards, decorations, calendrers and carol singing has been fun for all, including staff.
