Green 2 class

Welcome to Green 2. We are a mixed year 1, 2 and 3  complex needs class. Louise (Mon, Tues) and Sophie (Wed, Thurs, Fri) are the class teachers.  The teaching assistant is Sam. The ISAs are Charlie and Alex.

What we have been learning in Spring 2:

This half term our topic has been ‘Let’s go travelling’. We have looked at the book ‘We all go travelling by’ and have done lots of activities on buses, cars, bikes, boats, planes, trains and feet!

We have also done lots of fun Easter crafts like handprint and fingerprint chicks, egg pattern matching and shape pictures.

We have enjoyed our Thursday afternoon visits to Cannock library where we have looked through the books and shared lots of stories.

Some of the children have also had the chance to go swimming on a Friday at a pool in Stafford. The other children will get a chance to swim next term.

What we are learning in Summer 1:

Our topic is ‘Animal A-Z’ and we will be looking at pets. Farm animals and zoo animals which the children should all enjoy.

On Thursday 19th May we will be visiting Lower Drayton Farm where the children will get to see the various animals.

We have PE on Monday mornings, please can you send children in the PE kits on this day (jogging bottoms are fine in the cold weather)

On Wednesday mornings, we have Outdoor Learning so please can you send your child in appropriate outdoor wear or send them in for us to put on in school.

Please make sure the home school diary is sent in to school each day so we can tell you all the exciting things we have been doing during the day.

We will continue visiting the school library on a Friday afternoon, where the children will be able to choose a book to take home to share. Please can you return them on a Wednesday and then the children can choose another one on that Friday’.

A big thank you to the parents who have helped us on our trips to the library and swimming. We wouldn’t be able to go without you.

Thank you for your continued support.
